The greatest story ever blogged

Star Trek character he most resembles

I had planned to watch more of my new Blade Runner set this morning, but settled on welcoming our first born. PeaceFrog Borialis Ross Aiden Michael Ross was born at 5:20 a.m. today, about three weeks before we were expecting him -- but he's completely healthy. The doctor's name who delivered him was Dr. Love, and I only managed one Kiss reference.

Congratulations, Adam!!

Wow! If I'm more impressed by the Kiss restraint than the successful procreation, will that make me a bad person?

Seriously, though, congratulations. That's quite excellent and exciting!

Congratulations to you and Mom. Movies can wait, kids come first.

Now your newborn can look forward to all those years of Christmas AND birthday gifts at the same time!

But seriously, congrats.

Congrats Adam! My birthday was on the 26th, so I have a special fondness for fellow Xmas babies.

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful responses, mom and kid are doing great. One thing I'll add about the entire birth experience is that going in I was certain that the nightmare "birth" from "The Fly" would be in my head during delivery, but it was completely absent. Maybe I'm more mature than I thought.

Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Panache! Way to make a person.

Adam, this is indeed excellent news! Welcome to the world of late nights, ill-timed vomiting and inappropraite pants-peeing, all to be overshadowed by that first smile and the first laugh and that first everything else. Clint Howard-esque or not, he will be the best thing that ever happened to you! Congratulations!

Adam, much congratulations.

However... look out. Young master Aiden has the same birthday as both Marlene Dietrich and, uh, Chris Stangl, so historically Dec. 27 is trouble of some kind.

Now get busy showing that baby Blade Runner.

Wow thanks for the heads up on that, Chris! I guess this puts him in the running for a cameo appearance in your illustrated roundup for next year. Sidney Greenstreet also shares that date.

Congratulations, Ross family. Love the screencap--don't worry, the telekinetic powers won't develop for a while :P Looking forward to Aiden's future Friday Screen Test.

Excellent news Adam. Congrats. I understand now why you haven't blogged for a few days. Get some sleep.
